Jill Marie Denton

I'm so thrilled to be able to bring the ladies of Second to life in this five-book series and to continue writing tough chicks ever since. I've been dreaming about, doodling sketches of, and creating storylines for these characters for more than two decades. Partially inspired by friends of mine, by my own outlook and life lessons, and by women in media, the ladies I write about are fiercely competitive, endlessly inspired and tirelessly dedicated to their crafts.

I've been writing fiction focused around women practically since I could pick up a pen. I love bringing strong, proud and successful women of all shapes, sizes and colors to the forefront of a storyline. I was born and raised in Delaware, where I now reside with Ed and Peter Parker (see my Blog for more about them), though I spent my college years in Chicago. I've also lived in the outskirts of Atlanta and in Northeastern Pennsylvania, though my heart called me home many years ago.

I'm also loving the process of storytelling when it comes to a subject much closer to home; being a chef and seeking happiness in my day-to-day life. Clearing The Rail (CTR) is all about my progress on becoming who I was always meant to be. I hope you'll join me and that I can help you see that life's a party.
